Katie Prejean McGrady is an international speaker & author of Room 24: Adventures of a New Evangelist & the forthcoming Follow: your lifelong adventure with Jesus with Ave Maria Press. Since 2007, Katie has been traveling throughout the U.S. and Canada sharing a unique blend of humor & storytelling, coupled with teaching theological truth, to engage audiences of all ages. Katie has spoken at events large & small, including Steubenville Youth Conferences, the National Conference for Catholic Youth Ministry, Los Angeles Religious Education Congress & Youth Day, in dioceses & parishes from New York to Sacramento, & has appeared on EWTN, Catholic TV, Radio Maria, & the Busted Halo Show on Sirius XM. Katie has her degree in Theology from the University of Dallas. She is married to Tommy McGrady & lives in Lake Charles, Louisiana with their daughter, Rose, & dog, Barney.

Meet Ike Ndolo

2018 City of Saints Musician

Ike Ndolo was born in Missouri, after his parents moved to the United States from Nigeria. Inside Ike’s home rang hymns from his mother and songs of struggle and freedom from Bob Marley and everything in between. In 2009 Ike released his first record, “We are the Beggars” produced by songwriter and producer Robbie Seay. “We are the Beggars” climbed to number 4 on the Christian iTunes charts. Now Ike is back with his second studio album “Rivers” recorded in Nashville and produced by Paul Mabury. Ike’s sophomore record is a grittier collection of soulful music, which showcases Ike’s growth as a songwriter as well as his unique voice and delivery. Ike shares songs of sin, doubt, hope, and redemption.

Meet Mike Patin

Mike Patin—the “Engagin’ Cajun”-  uses energy, humor and stories to remind people of God’s presence among us while inviting others (and himself) to take the “next step” in our journey with God. Mike has worked in ministry settings since 1984, first as     a high school teacher and coach, and then in diocesan ministry for the Archdiocese of New Orleans. Since 2003, he has worked full time as a speaker and “faith horticulturist.” Throughout his ministry, Mike has been privileged to speak to groups ranging from 10 to 23,000 in over 130 dioceses in the U.S. and Canada.  He has spoken at parish missions, conferences, rallies, retreats, leadership institutes, and in-services, addressing youth, adults, families, clergy, seminarians, school faculties, businesses, athletic teams and hospital staffs. He has been a featured speaker numerous times at the following national events: National Catholic Educational Association Convention, Los Angeles Religious Education Congress (Adult Days and Youth Day), National Conference on Catholic Youth Ministry, National Catholic Youth Conference, Notre Dame Vision

Mike has published two books: A Standing Invitation, and This Was Not in the Brochure: Lessons from Work, Life and Ministry. In 2006, he received the National Catholic Youth Ministry Award. Mike lives in Lafayette, LA.

Meet Bob Perron

2018 City of Saints Keynote

Bob’s blend of humor and education has made him a highly sought-after speaker.  Bob’s presentations leave his audiences laughing, smiling, deeply thinking, and perhaps even shedding a tear or two. His excitement, enthusiasm, and love have motivated and inspired thousands of young people and adults. Bob has been involved in ministry to young people and adults since 1984.  He has served as a parish youth minister, parish director of religious education, camp director and diocesan youth director.  He loves working with young people and they love him. Bob is currently the Director of the Office of Youth & Young Adult Ministry for the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston.
Bob has spoken at hundreds of diocesan youth conferences and parish missions in over 40 states along with several countries. He has recently been the MC at the National Mass and Rally for Life in Washington, DC, spoke at the Los Angeles Congress youth day and was a keynote presenter at NCYC 2014 in Indianapolis.

Meet Chika Anyanwu

2018 City of Saints Breakout Keynote

Chika Anyanwu is an international Catholic Speaker currently based in Anaheim, California. She received her bachelor’s degree in English from California State University, San Bernardino in hopes of becoming a high school English and English as a Second Language instructor, but fell more deeply in love with sharing about Jesus and the Catholic Church. Chika was a parish Confirmation Coordinator and Young Adult Minister for eight years in Southern California, is a two-time alumna of the National Evangelization Teams Ministries (NET Ministries, USA), and currently serves as an Area Contact for the Life Teen youth ministry movement while still spreading the Gospel full-time. Chika is a part of a big and beautiful Nigerian family, loves coffee, and strives for sainthood every day, although bad drivers challenge her sanctity.

Brian Greenfield

2018 City of Saints Keynote

Brian Greenfield was born and raised in Washington, DC. After graduating from Gonzaga College High School, Brian attended Seton Hall University. While there, God moved powerfully in Brian’s heart and Life. He continued to work in youth and young adult ministry during his four years at Seton Hall, speaking at numerous youth events and youth groups. After graduating with a degree in communications, Brian attended the Franciscan University of Steubenville for theology. While at Franciscan, he felt God calling him to give more of himself. Brian withdrew from school and entered the Community of the Franciscans of the Renewal. As a postulant, Brian lived in Harlem, served the poor, and began his formation as a Franciscan Friar. After finishing the postulancy, Brian returned to Washington, DC to further discern God’s call for his life. Brian returned to Seton Hall University to study theology, where he served as a part-time Campus Minister for the university. Brian taught religion at Paramus Catholic High School. He also began his work with Hard as Nails Ministries. He received his M.A. in Theology in May 2005 and an M.A. in Education Leadership in 2012. Brian has spoken to thousands of youth and young adults about the message of Jesus Christ. He has written numerous articles concerning various aspects of Christian living. Brian is also one of the few black catholic evangelists in the United States. Brian believes that God has given him gifts to bring the message of Jesus Christ to others and knows that there is a prevailing hopelessness in this world that can only be remedied through an encounter with Christ. Brian taught theology for six years and is currently the Director of Campus Ministry at Jesuit High School in Tampa, Florida. He resides in Spring Hill Florida with his wife Genevieve and his two children Mieko and Michael.

Meet Fr. Agustino Torres

2018 City of Saints Breakout Keynote

Fr. Agustino Miguel Torres is the Director of Evangelization for the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal. He is known for his ardent zeal in bringing the light of Christ to the youth of the world. Originally from South Texas, right on the Mexico border, he moved to the New York area to attend university. After a series of events he discovered his call to be a Franciscan friar above all through their work with the poor and evangelization apostolates.

Fr Agustino was one of the founding brothers of Catholic Underground, which is an international cultural apostolate of the Franciscan Friars. He also dedicates his efforts in evangelization through ‘Corazon Puro’ a movement founded in the Bronx that focuses on teaching the true meaning of sexuality to bilingual youth using John Paul the Great’s “Theology of the Body.”
